Hello my lovelies,
I’m sorry that I’ve been gone for a while. The second half of November was when all my assignments were due and then exams quickly followed so I put the blog on the back-burner for a little bit.
But no more! Let’s get straight to it.
Female sexuality is a heavy subject. It’s been said throughout history that women are meant to be pure and chaste until marriage, otherwise her precious reputation would be tarnished and no man would ever want her, which would bring great shame to her family.
But you guys, it’s nearly 20-fricken-14.
And you know what? Sex isn’t a big deal!
There is a double-standard within society where a woman who has slept with multiple people would be shamed for her actions while a man in the exact same situation would get a high-five from his bros.
And to that, I say ENOUGH!
A woman’s worth is not determined by the number of people she’s slept with any more than a man’s is. Sex is a healthy and natural act and no one, man or woman, should be shamed for participating in it, whether it be recreational or within a committed relationship.
“If you consider a woman less pure after you’ve touched her, maybe you should take a look at your hands.” – Kaija Sabbah
So the next time you go on calling a girl (or anyone) a slut because she slept with someone, just think first; does that person really deserved to be shamed just because she got some?
It’s no one’s business but her own what she decides to do with her body, as long as it’s safe and consensual.
ps: love you guys
